Summer Fun Programs
St. John's Nursery School offers three to five year-olds a fun filled summer full of camps with emphasis on outdoor activities. The program is directed by Mary Alice Edwards and Coordinated by Amy Santucci, a St. John's Nursery School teacher. Our Summer Fun program is limited to 20 children per camp session.

Our program offers eight sessions as follows. June: Music I, Dinosaur Land, Music Camp II, and Flower Power. July: To the Moon and Stars, Wheels and Pedals, and Exploring the Animal World. August: We're Off(Camp for 4 and 5 year olds who will be attending Kindergarten in September 2008). We begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. Monday-Friday for one week theme camps.

A typical day includes such water activities as: a water and sand table, music and movement, stories, bubbles, guest speakers and animal visitors, mud pies, and waterways. We take nature walks and plant a summer garden.
Arts and crafts may include mural and easel painting, play dough, papier-mâché and creating puppets. Enrichment might include live critters, science lessons, puppet shows, storytelling, or other events.

The campers help prepare daily snacks such as cheese with crackers, rice cakes, apples or celery, fruit, pizza, pasta and pretzels. We enjoy treats like fresh-squeezed lemonade, watermelon, ice pops and cookies. Eating outside on picnic blankets makes everything taste better! All snaks are NUT FREE! Registration begins in mid-April. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Alice Edwards- Director at 585-624-1940.
